The Duck Inn Room, was the room of Mary Ward whose family purchased the residence from Samuel Street in 1900.  Mary Ward (1891-1979) lived in the home her entire life and during her later years, she divided the house into several apartments, renting them out during World War II. In fact, the current door to the room was once a closet and now guests over six foot may need to 'duck' their heads to enter a room with an eleven foot ceiling! Tasteful appointments and refined decorative treatments make this quaint, warm-hued room one of our most popular.  A smaller room, but delightful in every way.  Private bath, of course, with a cast iron tub ideal for a long soak and a great shower in a tiled enclosure.
