The Basin Street Room. When Samuel Street built his home c. 1882, this cozy room was the upstairs bath, kept comfortable by the fireplace, decoratively in place today. The name refers to the room's original purpose (Basin) and owner (Street) and also to New Orleans' famed promenade where the current innkeepers enjoyed their honeymoon. Stylish artwork depicting the French Quarter lends sophisticated charm to this quaint room with a pencil-post queen bed.
